Bears by Nature was formed in 2007 to give the Bear Community (+ allies) a presence in the Toronto Pride Parade that had long been missing. Committing ourselves to grassroots ethics and politics, we enjoyed a successful march in the 2008 Parade with our theme “Forest in the Sky” and in 2009 with our theme “Bears on the High Seas”.

This year, along with Bearforest.com and Bears of Toronto, we want to invite everyone to march in  Pride Toronto Parade with us on Sunday, July 4th. We encourage anyone regardless of your geographical location or affiliation or lack there of with any bear group to join us so that we can have the largest Bear contingent ever. In 2010, we want to show everyone just how vibrant us bears can be and how we can be the loudest, most colorful, Pride group ever!! Feel free to express yourself any which way you want. Don’t be afraid to bring your flags, banners, whistles, and noise makers as the louder we are, the better!

Come see us in our “natural” state!!

Steel City Steam | Back in September

The Bears come out to PLAY at another Steel City Steam event at Karel’s Steam Baths, 12 Holton Ave. N. in Hamilton. Steel City Steam – Watch for news about our next Steel City Steam Event.

Karel is a long-time friend and supporter of the Steel City Bears and he’s invited us to come play in his den. Of course, it wouldn’t be a bear event without food and let me tell you, Karel is a great cook! Food will be served from 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm and it’s free with your regular admission.

This is going to be a wonderful evening to get together with some hot bears and admirers.

It’s Erie, Pennsylvania’s Premier Bear Event. Held in the early spring/late winter each year, bears from the region, including NY, OH, and PA up here in Erie on the lake.

We are proud to announce the much anticipated dates for next year with Drenched Fur 7! Get out your calendar and tell work that you’re making vacation plans for Thursday April 7th thru Sunday the 10th in 2011! We’ll be returning to the waterpark of course and posting more details to be revealed in the coming weeks regarding next years’s run weekend.
