Hi! My name is Chris and I hold the title of Mr. Bears of Toronto 2008/2009.

I was first inspired to run for this ‘ambassador’ position by the fun bunch of guys I got to know when I started showing up for Bears of Toronto (BoT) events in the summer of 2007. I liked what I saw and wanted to help out by using my leadership and personal skills to raise awareness for Toronto’s only bear group, with a focus on increasing the membership of BoT.

In a gay-friendly city like Toronto, there must be hundreds of guys who identify themselves as a “bear” or “admirer”, and I believe that the best way to convince those guys to put a little BoT in their lives is by word-of-mouth and face-to-face contact.

So if you count yourself as a bear/admirer, why not check out the next Games Night, Grrrunch (brunch), or any other event?
